• Fear causes some people to run and others to freeze

• Fear causes us to abandon our good judgement/wisdom

• We fear fear itself more than anything else

• Some people would rather die than face fear

• The poor our sometimes marrier than the rich because they have nothing to fear losing, while the rich are overcome with fear of losing what they have

• It is easier to get a group of men who have suffered wounds in battle to fight again than to get a group of men who are overcome by fear of the enemy to fight
